From Illness to Wellness
My Journey
In 2016, I was 120 pounds heavier, out of shape, and my health was deteriorating. I repressed my emotions and turned to alcohol to cope with unprocessed traumas, trapped in a grueling corporate job that drained my spirit. Despite the smile I wore on the outside, I was deeply depressed and angry, feeling hopeless even though I seemed to have it all: a home, a high-paying job, and the so-called success everyone strives for. But inside, I was lost, imprisoned by the fear of losing control and never feeling safe enough to be my true self.
Then, I started working with a therapist who introduced me to a simple yet profound idea: "What if?"
What if I took that trip?
What if I changed my diet?
What if I signed up for that gym membership?
What if I confronted certain family members?
What if I stood up to a manager who treated me unfairly?
What if I lost it all?
These questions sparked a radical mindset shift. I realized I had been living solely to serve others, neglecting my own well-being and playing small. When I began to honor myself and prioritize my own health and wellness, everything changed for the better.
Exploring Wellness Through Experience
I thrive as an experimental learner, always eager to try anything that resonates with me. My journey has led me sit in various plant medicine ceremonies, immersing myself in the rich traditions of spiritual practices. I've explored a myriad of diets, from pescatarian to Paleo to vegan, and now, I flourish on a raw foods lifestyle.
My passion for travel has taken me to over 70 countries, each new destination filling me with wonder and excitement. Through these experiences, I've observed how different cultures and societies connect with their personal pillars of wellness. Being a witness to these diverse practices has allowed me to extract what deeply resonates with me and integrate these insights into my daily routines and wellness offerings.
The pillars of wellness I focus on encompass the physical, emotional, mental, and financial aspects of life. These elements form the foundation of my approach to holistic well-being, and I am dedicated to sharing the practices that have enriched my life with you.
